Taxi fares
We set the fares charged by hackney carriage proprietors within the borough of Tunbridge Wells.
The fares charged by private hire operators are not regulated, however, if a taxi meter is fitted to the vehicle they may not charge above the maximum fares for hackney carriages as displayed on the meter.
Trips commencing or ending outside the borough are subject of negotiation for both hackney carriage and private hire vehicles.
The current fares were set in June 2022.
