Mount Pleasant Road Bus Gate/Lane Restriction (Public Realm 2)
Traffic is restricted in both directions along Mount Pleasant Road between its junctions with Monson Rd and Church and Crescent Roads, from 9 am to 6 pm every day.
Apart from public buses and Hackney Carriage taxis, only the following have an exemption to enter the bus gate restriction:
- Goods delivery vehicles picking up or delivering to premises within the restriction
- Vehicles belonging to residents in the restriction, and their guests and visitors
There is no exemption to drop off or pick up passengers, for Blue Badge holders, or for residents living on adjacent roads including Dudley, Monson, Newton and York Roads.
Vehicles exiting Dudley, Newton and York Roads will need to exit via Monson Road.

A Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) will be issued to any vehicle seen contravening the restriction.
Follow the links below to pay or appeal a PCN.
If you are appealing a PCN please include supporting documentation, for example, a delivery note relating to an address within the restricted area.
This initiative supports sustainable transport and reduces air and noise pollution in the town. It also makes the town safer for pedestrians and more attractive to shoppers and other visitors.
Grosvenor Road Bus Gate/Lane Restriction (Public Realm 1)
Traffic is restricted in both directions along Grosvenor Road between its junctions with Goods Station Road and Monson Road, from 9 am to 6 pm every day.
Generally, only buses have an exemption to enter the bus gate restriction.
