Book a bulky or electrical item collection
You can use this service to book a collection of large household items (bulky waste) that won't fit in your bin.
You can also use this service to book a collection of electrical items.
Before you start
Due to a national issue, we have temporarily suspended collections of fridges and freezers until further notice. If you are purchasing a new fridge or freezer, please ask the supplier whether they can remove and dispose of your old appliance. For more information, please see the media release from Kent County Council.
- Standard collection: £70 per slot
- Affordable collection: £10 processing charge for eligible residents (one collection every 90 days)
- Item limits: Each slot includes a maximum of four items

Book a collection
To book a collection, you will need:
- to live in a residential property within the borough
- a debit or credit card to make a secure online payment
- For affordable collections (£10): To be a resident in receipt of Band 1 Council Tax Reduction Scheme (working age) or any Council Tax Reduction Scheme (non-working age). You will need your National Insurance number and benefit reference number to complete the booking.
