How to sign up for Planning Application Notifications

Sign up to receive notifications on Planning applications

Registered Planning Application Search users can setup email notifications for any new Planning Applications in their local area.

To setup notifications

  • Log in to your Planning Application Search account, if you do not already have an account you can set one up easily online
  • Search for your postcode, or road name
  • On the search results page click on the link show results on a large map
  • Click on the Enable filter link on the right hand side of the map
  • You can change how much information is displayed using the drop down box to select a new time period
  • Once the filters are enabled you will be able to click on the Appeals checkbox to include details of appeals in your notifications
  • You can save a search based on the current area shown on the map by clicking on the "Save a rectangular search" link
  • Alternatively you can create a search based on a 50, 100, 500 or 1,000 metre radius around the centre of the map using the drop down at the bottom of the page and by clicking on the Save a circular result link
  • You will then be asked if you want to receive notifications by email when changes are made

When you setup a saved search the details are stored in your profile so you can go back and make changes or delete.
