Tunbridge Wells Borough Council Notice of Intention to Commence Plan preparation

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council gives notice of its intention to commence preparation of a new local plan (which will be a review of the Tunbridge Wells Borough Local Plan 2020 – 2038, adopted in December 2025), in accordance with Regulation 19 of the Town and Country (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026.

The Local Plan Review will cover the administrative area of Tunbridge Wells Borough, ONS E07000116, as shown in the map below.

The plan shall be referred to as the Tunbridge Wells Borough Local Plan Review 2029.

The Tunbridge Wells Borough Local Plan Review will set out a spatial planning and policy framework for the whole of Tunbridge Wells Borough up to 2044. It will include a long-term vision and strategic objectives, a spatial strategy, policy framework and a monitoring and implementation framework (with measurable outcomes) to deliver the strategy.
