Do you have a Christmas tree to recycle?

Your real tree will be collected with your garden waste if you subscribe to the service. Please take the tree out of its pot and put it alongside your black bin (or garden sacks) as long as the trunk is under three inches (7.5cm) thick. Remember to remove all the decorations so they can be used again next year.

Alternatively, Hospice in the Weald is offering a tree recycling service.

Hospice in the Weald provides care for patients with a terminal illness, and those important to them, completely free of charge.

The Christmas tree recycling scheme helps to raise vital funds for your local hospice. They welcome a suggested donation of £20.00 but if you are in a position to give more, your generosity and support will be greatly appreciated. In exchange they will collect your Christmas tree, take it away and recycle it for you. No hassle, no waste and no needles in your car!

Tree registration opens 15 November until 12am, 1 January.

The recycling service collects from the following postcodes:

TN1, TN2, TN4, TN9, TN10, TN11, TN12, TN13, TN14, TN15, TN16.
