Consultation on the Draft Royal Tunbridge Wells Town Centre Plan - Vision 2040

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is currently preparing a Royal Tunbridge Wells Town Centre Plan. This consultation is the first stage in the process of preparing the Plan, called the ‘Draft Royal Tunbridge Wells Town Centre Plan – Vision 2040’, and the council is seeking views on this.

The public consultation runs from Friday 23 February to midnight on Monday 15 April 2024. A number of events and drop-in sessions are being held: several across Royal Tunbridge Wells town centre, and an event in Cranbrook. You are welcome to come along to find out more about Vision 2040 and tell us your thoughts. You will find details of your nearest event on our website.

We really want your views at this early stage in the process. What do you think about the current town centre? What is important to you in the town and how would you like to see it evolve and develop in the future? What would you like to see included in the town centre?

A Call for Sites is running alongside the consultation and our Planning Policy team is keen to hear about any sites in Royal Tunbridge Wells town centre which might be available for development/ redevelopment up to 2040. Please let us know if you know of or own a site which you would like to be considered through this process.

Your views/site can be submitted online, via email or by post.

Please contact RTWTownCentrePlan@tunbridgewells.gov.uk should you have any questions, or alternatively call the Planning Policy team on 01892 554056.
