About Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom
What have we achieved so far?
Since 2010, Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom has entered the regional South and South East in Bloom competition.
We've won and retained a Gold medal in the Large Town category every year and achieved numerous individual awards for our parks and open spaces.
In 2012 we were invited into the national competition, where we were awarded a Silver medal.
In 2016 we entered a record number of eight parks and open spaces, including the town centre, to the South and South East in Bloom and received Gold, Silver Gilt and Silver awards.
In 2018 our town was invited for a second time into the national RHS Britain in Bloom competition and was awarded Silver Gilt. In summer 2019 RHS Britain in Bloom judges awarded Royal Tunbridge Wells Gold in the Large Town category.
On the 10th anniversary of our campaign, in summer 2020, we were invited to represent South and South East region in the RHS Britain in Bloom finals again. Sadly, due to the COVID-19, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has suspended the Britain in Bloom UK Finals for 2020 and 2021.
As our town is developing, we have outgrown the Large Town category and now fall into the Small City criteria. In 2022 we have received our first Gold as a Small City.
In 2023 Tunbridge Wells was selected to represent the region in the RHS Britain in Bloom UK Finals in the Small City category, and was awarded Gold.
You can help us to make our entry a success by taking part in our local Bloom competition, volunteering in our parks, participating in the Open Gardens tour or sponsoring a floral display in town.
