Motorcycle Parking

Car Parks

Motorcycle parking bays are provided in the following car parks and are reserved for the use of solo motorcycles at all times:

There is no time limit on the length of stay, and all bays are free of charge.

Motorcycles parked in non-motorcycle bays will need to purchase a ticket for the duration of their stay using the Pay and Display machines or PayByPhone.

Residents Permit Zones

There are seven resident parking zones run by the Borough Council, five within Tunbridge Wells, one within High Brooms and one within Paddock Wood. If your address is within one of these zones you can apply for a permit.

Motorcycles parked within a residents permit bay will require a valid Residents Parking Permit or Visitor Voucher to be displayed. The permit should be displayed on the vehicle at all times of the stay so that the relevant details are clearly visible. Where the vehicle is fitted with a front glass windscreen, the permit should be adhered to the inside of the windscreen, facing forward. However, where the vehicle is not fitted with a front glass windscreen, the permit should be attached on the nearside of the vehicle. A vehicle observed not displaying or not correctly displaying a valid residents’ permit may be liable for a Penalty Charge Notice.
