Off-street public car parks

The council is currently tendering a concession contract to provide new electric vehicle fast charge points (EVCPs) in the following public car park locations in Tunbridge Wells, with a likely project completion date in late 2024:

• Crescent Road
• Great Hall
• John Street
• The Pantiles
• Torrington

Currently, EVCPs operate in the following locations:

• Crescent Road – two fast chargers.
  • Tap in with a valid debit or credit card to commence a free charging period. Normal parking charges apply.
  • A charging cable is not supplied.

• Commercial Road East, Paddock Wood
  • Dual taxi/public rapid charger provided by Kent County Council.

• Great Hall
  • No longer in use, awaiting replacement.

• Yew Tree Road, Southborough
  • No longer in use, awaiting replacement.

On-street

• Mount Pleasant Road (near Tunbridge Wells train station) - dual taxi/public rapid charger provided by Kent County Council
