Electric vehicle charging points
Off-street public car parks
The council is currently tendering a concession contract to provide new electric vehicle fast charge points (EVCPs) in the following public car park locations in Tunbridge Wells, with a likely project completion date in late 2024:
- Crescent Road
- Great Hall
- John Street
- The Pantiles
- Torrington
Currently, EVCPs operate in the following locations:
- Crescent Road – two fast chargers.
- Tap in with a valid debit or credit card to commence a free charging period. Normal parking charges apply.
- A charging cable is not supplied.
- Commercial Road East, Paddock Wood
- Dual taxi/public rapid charger provided by Kent County Council.
- Great Hall
- No longer in use, awaiting replacement.
- Yew Tree Road, Southborough
- No longer in use, awaiting replacement.
On-street
- Mount Pleasant Road (near Tunbridge Wells train station) - dual taxi/public rapid charger provided by Kent County Council
