Torrington Car Park – tell us your views
Some changes are being proposed for Torrington Car Park in Royal Tunbridge Wells and we would like to hear what you think about the proposals.
In partnership with Southeastern, who also have spaces in the car park, we’re proposing to make it easier for motorists who park in Torrington. This will mean that you will be able to park in any bay regardless of how you have paid, unlike the current system which designates certain bays for rail users only until 10.30am.
All season tickets would be managed by the Council and any customer would be able to purchase a season ticket, saving £90 compared to current tickets which are only available for rail users.
The one and two hour parking tariffs would increase in cost but this would still keep Torrington cheaper than other multi-storey car parks in the town.
There are plans in place to make improvements to the lighting, install new check-in, check-out contactless payment machines and refresh the stairways and lift lobbies.
The consultation is open until Sunday 8 December and you can read the proposals in full and comment in our Proposed Changes to Torrington Car Park page.
