Health and safety standards

You must ensure that your business meets the relevant health and safety standards and follows the correct procedures for ensuring safety in your workplace. The Food and Safety Team investigate health and safety complaints about workplaces in the Tunbridge Wells borough including reportable accidents and dangerous occurrences.

The team visit premises to ensure that safety standards are met and they offer advice on how to protect employees and the public.

We inspect:

• hotels and leisure facilities
• catering premises and mobile food vendors
• builders merchants
• acupuncture, body piercing and beauty parlours
• riding stables
• tyre and exhaust fitting premises
