Register a food business

If you own or have taken over a food business in the borough of Tunbridge Wells, it is a legal requirement that you register your business at least 28 days before trading or before food operations start.

Once you have registered, you will need to notify us if there is a change of ownership or a change in the nature of the business.

Before you start

Please note:

• registration is free of charge
• the information we collect is entered onto a public register
• details of the address and nature of the business are public records
• other general information about your business may be requested under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
