Export certificates
An export certificate is required by food manufacturers or exporters who wish to export food of animal origin to countries outside of the European Community (EC).
These certificates confirm that a specific business complies with all relevant legislation and the food produced is without risk to exports.
Export certificates will only be issued if:
- the business is registered with us
- food hygiene standards are met
- the food is produced or packed in the borough
For more information see the guidance provided on the GOV.UK website.
Applications are normally processed within 5 to 6 working days. If you need advice or help with your application, or information about how to make your payment, please contact the team.
