Report a barking dog

Too much dog barking can be very annoying for neighbours.

It is against the law for a dog to bark all the time and cause a nuisance to people.

Owners who permit their dogs to bark constantly can be fined.

Before you start

Most noise complaints are dealt with informally, but should this not be possible the Council can take formal action.

There is no set level of noise which is too loud or that will automatically result in action being taken by the Council.

There is also no set time when music or any other sort of noisy activity must end.
