Election of a Borough Councillor

for the Ward listed below

1. Forms of nomination for the Borough Election may be obtained from the Town Hall, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1RS from the Returning Officer who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature.
2. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Town Hall, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1RS on any day after the date of this notice but no later than 4 pm on Wednesday 26 August 2026.
3. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Wednesday 23 September 2026.
4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Monday 7 September 2026. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of postal proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Town Hall, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1RS by 5pm on Tuesday 8 September 2026. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote
6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 15 September 2026. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate
7. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Town Hall, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1RS by 5pm on Tuesday 15 September 2026. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote
8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Town Hall, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1RS by 5pm on Wednesday 23 September 2026. The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5pm on Tuesday 15 September 2026. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5pm on Tuesday 15 September 2026.
