St John's Recreation Ground
The main entrance to St John's Recreation Ground is in Beltring Road off St John's Road.
Facilities include:
- extended play area
- multi ball-games area
- bowls green
- three tennis courts
- meadow land
- toilets located to the left of the park
We do not charge for the use of tennis courts however when tennis school courses are running, contact the Parks team to book.
The bowling green is in the main run by the bowls club, however for one off bookings please contact the Parks team.

St John's Recreation Ground is protected by Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs). To prevent unreasonable disturbance to nearby residents there is a curfew on the park between the hours of 11pm and 5am. The gates are open in the mornings around 7.30am, and locked at dusk. Alcohol consumption is already prohibited in St John’s Park at all times of the day and night.
