Free parking announced for Christmas Kick Off
Visitors heading into Tunbridge Wells for this year's Christmas Kick Off celebrations will be able to enjoy free parking all day on Saturday 14 November in participating council car parks across the town.
The free parking offer, provided by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, aims to make it easier for residents and visitors to enjoy a festive day out, support local businesses and experience everything the town centre has to offer as the Christmas season begins.
Free parking will be available at:
- Royal Victoria Place
- Crescent Road / Town Hall
- Great Hall
- Meadow Road
- Torrington
- The Pantiles
- Linden Park Road
The Christmas Kick Off event, organised by RTWT BID, is expected to bring thousands of people into the town centre for a packed programme of festive entertainment, shopping and family activities.
Visitors can enjoy festive market stalls, live entertainment, family attractions, late-night shopping, Santa's sleigh, Rudolph's Runner land train, the annual Christmas parade and a fireworks finale.
Councillor Rob Wormington, Cabinet Member for Environment and Sustainability, said:
"Christmas Kick Off marks the start of the festive season for many people and brings a real sense of excitement to the town centre.
"By offering free parking throughout the day, we're making it easier for residents and visitors to enjoy the celebrations, discover everything our town has to offer and support local businesses at an important time of year. We hope people will come along, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a great day out in Tunbridge Wells."
