Sign up for flood warning alerts
The Environment Agency says that 1,900 homes in Tunbridge Wells are at risk of flooding but just 18% of those are signed up for flood warning.
The Environment Agency has updated groundwater flood zones to enhance the flood warning system, offering more precise, prompt alerts to help communities in flood preparedness and response. They’re encouraging residents at risk to sign up to the flood warning system and to be prepared; being prepared means having a flood plan, finding out how to protect your property, having a flood kit of essential items and checking your insurance to see if you are covered.
