We are consulting on our new Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy 2023 - 2028.
TWBC invites your comments on the council’s draft revised Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy.
You are encouraged to read the draft document in full; a summary of the changes are listed below.
- DBS update service.
- Medical fitness.
- Environmental Considerations.
- Testing of vehicles.
- National Register.
- Mandatory contactless/card payments; and
- Equality Act, etc
Anyone wishing to comment can do so via Talking Point before midnight on Friday 10 November 2023. Any comments relating to specific areas of the policy should include reference to the associated section and page number.
All responses received before the consultation closes at Midnight on Friday 10 November 2023 will be taken into consideration for inclusion in the final draft that will be presented to the Council’s Licensing Committee for comment, with a view that the final approved policy will take effect from 21 November 2023.
