Crowdfunding appeal for key charities
The Council has launched a crowdfunding appeal to help three local charities that we are working very closely with during the current national emergency: Nourish Community Foodbank, Mental Health Resource and Age UK Tunbridge Wells.
The coronavirus outbreak is a challenging time for all of us and we recognise that the work we are doing to support the vulnerable members of our community could not happen without the help of local charities. Consequently some of those charities are being stretched to their absolute limit as they are providing additional support far beyond what they would usually do.
We have launched a month-long Lend A Hand for Tunbridge Wells crowdfunding appeal that aims to raise over £10,000 by mid-May.
‘Councillor Carol Mackonochie, Communities and Wellbeing portfolio said: ‘There is so much amazing work going on to support people during this very difficult time. Many people are already doing such great things and others are asking how they can help through donating. Anyone can give through the crowdfunding campaign and no matter what amount you donate, it will ensure a local charity benefits and can continue providing help right now.’
