Pitches are booked through Tunbridge Wells Rugby Football Club or the Borderers Cricket Club.
The Nevill Ground

Home to Tunbridge Wells Cricket Club and Tunbridge Wells Hockey Club.
At times pitches will not be available at short notice due to weather conditions. We will email the hirer directly if the pitches are not available due to weather conditions.

Frequently asked questions
What’s included in the price of hire?
Use of changing facilities, showers, nets and corner flags.
How do I pay for the pitch?
One off bookings are payable in advance. Payment can be made over the telephone with a debit or credit card by calling the Parks team. For block bookings of 10 or more matches, you will be sent an invoice every month. Pitch fees are reviewed each year on 1 April. If you require further information please contact the Parks team.
What if there’s a problem with the pitch, changing rooms or equipment?
We will do our best to ensure everything is ready for your match, however, occasionally things go wrong. In this case contact the site representative who will do what they can to assist you. Alternatively contact the out of hours service on 07743 915713.
Who puts up the nets?
The site representative will put up nets and corner flags. They may make other arrangements with individual clubs/teams where clubs are willing to assist.
Who is responsible for cancelling matches?
We carry out pitch inspections 24 hours prior to games being played. If a pitch is deemed unfit for play, the club/team who have booked the pitch will be contacted by email. Match officials may decide to cancel games at short notice due to pitch conditions for health and safety reasons.
How do I know if my match has been cancelled?
Clubs and teams will be contacted by email. Cancellations will also be posted on Twitter, follow us @TWellsCouncil.
