Discovery Days and Park Safaris go digital

The Amelia team have taken their popular school holiday activity programmes, Discovery Days and Park Safaris online this summer.

Exciting, new content will be released each week for both Discovery Days and Park Safaris, satisfying every budding historian or young explorer. All the content will be free and will be easily accessible from home via The Amelia website throughout the summer holidays.

Discovery Day online content will be released every Tuesday throughout the school summer holidays starting today, Tuesday 28 July.

Park Safari online content will be released every Wednesday, starting next Wednesday 5 August.

Weekly challenges and activities include a Victorian inspired photography challenge, an architectural scavenger hunt around the borough and a Tunbridge Wells biscuit recipe! Families will also have the opportunity to learn how to prepare their own Park Safari with resident expert Dr Ian Beavis on board (virtually) to help identify any wildlife discoveries.

Weekly colouring sheets complementing the activities will also be available to download each week from The Amelia website.

And the team want you to get involved. Send your pictures, questions or very own facts and figures to info@theamelia.co.uk or @theamelia_tw on Instagram. Who knows, you might feature in the Q&A sessions at the end of the holidays!

The Amelia is supported by generous funding from National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England. The programme of content has also been made possible thanks to the support of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and Kent County Council.
