Ways to Pay

Online Payments

Make payments securely through the council's payments site. Please ensure you quote your invoice or account number on all payments.

Card Payments

Most credit and debit cards are accepted, except American Express and Diners cards. Credit cards can be used for all invoice payments and we don't charge a transaction fee.

Bank Transfer

You can make payments through your own bank by transferring payment to the council's account or by setting up a regular standing order. Please ensure you quote your invoice / account number on all payments.

Telephone Payments

The payments you can make on our secure automated telephone line are; parking fines, Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefit invoices, other invoices where the reference starts with a D, housing loan repayments or temporary accommodation rents.

By Post

Unfortunately we are not in a position, at present or for the foreseeable future, to process cheques due to the health risks presented by Covid-19.

Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to 'Tunbridge Wells Borough Council' and addressed to:

In Person

Payments can be made in person at our Gateway office. For details of how to find the Gateway and for opening hours, please see the Gateway pages.

Before visiting the Gateway please consider the reason for your visit and whether it could be completed over the phone or on our website to help reduce the risk of transmission of the virus and reinforce social distancing measures announced by the Government.

The majority of Council payments can be made online or over the phone and an increasing number of applications and service requests can be made on this website.
