Dunorlan Park

Once a private landscaped garden, Dunorlan Park is now a historically important and much-loved public park. A little way out of town, on the A264 (view on a map), Dunorlan Park is spacious and elegant with wild grassy slopes and magnificent views across the lake to the Weald.

Facilities at Dunorlan Park include:

  • Boating lake with boat hire
  • Dunorlan Cafe open 7 days a week between 9am and 5pm - please note the cafe will be closed on Christmas Day
  • Two car parks
  • Toilets
  • Natural play area
  • Victoria Cross Grove
  • Pond dipping
  • Royal Tunbridge Wells Model Boat Club

Friends of Dunorlan Park

The Friends of Dunorlan Park work to promote and improve Dunorlan Park for the benefit of the residents and visitors to the Borough.

Park Run

Park Run hold a free weekly 5km timed run every Saturday at 9am

There is no charge to join in, but please register with Park Run before your first run.

You will also need to ensure you bring your barcode each time you run to get your time.

The course is run on a mixture of tarmac paths, trail paths and grass around the park. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place. Please remember that the park will also be used by people not taking part in the Park Run, please give way to other park users.

The head gardener will be pleased to advise you which trees and shrubs can be planted in Dunorlan Park and help you make a choice. The exact location of your donation will be agreed with you and your wishes will be taken into account whenever possible.

Donations can be made by individuals, local groups or organisations and a special message can be included in the Register of Donations.
